I did know that Faith Evans was on the scene with a new album BUT I did not know that is officially an independent artist now and it has paid off in a major way (yep, that was a pun).  Faith’s 6th studio album Something About Faith, debuted earlier this month at the number 1 spot on Billboard’s Independent Charts and number 4 on the R&B charts.  

Released on her own label, the album debuted at #1 last week on Billboard’s Independent Album chart, #4 on the Hip-Hop/R&B charts, and #15 on the Top 200. “I acquired my own imprint Prolific Music Group through Eone Music,” says Faith. “So for my first album as an independent artist to debut like this, it is truly a blessing.”

After a brief hiatus from music, she is grateful for the opportunity to still make music that fans still want to listen to.  “This marks my 15-year anniversary as an artist and I’m honored to know that there’s still an appreciation and love for what it is that I contribute to music.
